The randomness of the bookings made us, my wife and I, alone, the Bassac III and its twelve crew members! Regardless of this privilege (a little embarrassing, considering everything that was implemented for two people, but mitigated by the information that the boat was almost full for the return journey Cai Be - Can Th), we were very interested in the clear explanations of kla guide during both excursions, delighted to laze on deck chairs of the bridge during the navigation, and very satisfied with the gastronomy prepared on board and very fresh. Besides the interest of these visits, this cruise is also a nice break in a hectic trip program. Wifi capricious, it's not essential ...

We spent one night aboard the Bassac II cruising down the Meekong Delta to Can Tho. Cabin is comfortable size with air conditioning installed and en suite bathroom is fine for a one-night stay. We left our large cases with our guide and took just one small bag each on board which worked nicely. Cold towel and refreshing drink on boarding, then we were shown to our cabin. Light lunch served, and afternoon visit to local village for tour and fresh fruit tasting. Dinner was slightly disappointing with choice of fried fresh with a sauce or fried chicken with curry sauce, I think more local dish would have been appreciated. Drinks are reasonably priced, meals are served up on deck under shade of a canopy but with the breeze to keep you cool. Sun decks at fore and aft with comfortable sun loungers was nice place to relax and watch the countryside pass by. Next morning early breakfast then onto smaller boat with luggage in tow to go out to visit the floating market – mainly wholesale fruit and vegetable vendors but interesting to see life on the riverway. Back to land around 10:00 for our onward trip to our hotel
