Wow...this cruise was just amazing from start to finish. The cruise is pricey compared to other options you can choose from, but it's really worth every penny. The rooms were beautiful, the service was excellent, the food was plentiful and delicious, and the cruise activities (which ranged from morning Tai Chi to a biking excursion to a local village where we sampled "snake wine") were all uniformly excellent and well-run. I loved every second of this wonderful cruise, and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam. Highly recommend the 3 day 2 night cruise to take advantage of everything the cruise has to offer!

We arrived for a 2 night cruise on the 23rd of October. The cruise and staff from start to finish where amazing and special thanks to Harry and Tommy ... they were the icing on the cake. Some things to note, when doing the 2 night cruise on the 2nd day you are transfered to a day boat, it is very nice but you have no private space and it is a long hot slog back to the main... but the 5 course lunch is amazing. We used all the facilities only issue are the massages, these are very expensive even compared to hotel De l'Opera in Hanoi. On the boat, the reflexology massage is just a leg lower body massage and they only use baby oil .. so lots of room for improvement here 45 mins was 850,000 dong. In hotel De L'Opera you get 1hr 15 mins reflexology and back and shoulder for 925,000 dong. Dont take as a major negative as the spa is optional and doesn't affect the trip... we would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others

2 nights, 3 days - simply lovely. The whole cruise itself was excellent with lovely staff. The rooms are outstanding, service was amazing, food was good and lots of it (rather too much). We loved the cookery demonstrations and of course the scenery was second to none. The only thing I really didn't enjoy was the village visit - loved the bike ride but thought it was a too staged at the village and a bit awkward. It is however bringing money to a rural area so fair enough. My only sadness was seeing evidence of human inconsideration with litter to the beautiful areas we sailed through. Big thank you to Jay(may not have spelled that right) - witty, knowledgeable and all round good bloke - our cruise manager.

3 day, 2 night cruise in Halong Bay aboard the Orchid #1. What a fantastic upscale cruise along beautiful Halong Bay. Perfect for couples, friends, families, with catered hospitality and service for any need. Excursions included two trips to Cat Ba Island to Trung Trang Caves and Viet Hai Village, a secluded beach day with swimming and suntanning, and kayaking throughout the bay. All meals included - delicious, accommodating to dietary needs, though perhaps could have been more authentic Vietnamese cuisine versus Western classics. Our cruise tour guide was Trang, who was absolutely delightful, spirited, upbeat, and genuinely enjoyed every aspect of her job. If you are looking for an all-encompassing total package: look no further!

We were on board Orchid #2 for 2 nights where we were made very welcome by the fantastic staff. From the moment we stepped on to the boat we knew we were going to have a great time. We were greeted by all the staff waving and welcoming us on board. The rooms were spacious and clean with remarkable views. The food was great, it was set up with set menus and was cooked and presented at a high standard. There was fish and seafood on the menu (which I don’t eat) and they ask about any dietary requirements before each meal and they are happy to serve any alternatives. Ha Long Bay is a beautiful, peaceful, calm area with endless photo opportunities. The cruise included going to Cat Ba to see the caves and visiting a village which is a bike ride away, they do supply car shuttles if you don’t want to ride a bike. They also let you loose on kayaks where you can freely go wherever you like which is also very soothing. Each night there was a cooking class where they teach you how to make spring rolls. They also have a happy hour which is 2 for 1 just before and just after dinner. The service on board is second to none with any request not being a bother. Our waiter Andy was so helpful and friendly and was always at hand to keep us relaxed. Also a special thanks to Ana and Eddy for making our trip great! Highly recommend this cruise!!!
