It’s very impressive and more ‘lifelike’ than the one in Yangon. It’s open air - which does mean burning feet on the hot tiles in the sun. Just see quickly as part of a Bago tour. Get your photo and go!

It is visually breathtaking and impressive once you take the time to take it all in. It is unfortunate that the shelter/roofing structures get in the way of taking photos, but it is a minor issue. There are some touristy souvenir shops at the main entrance, but i would recommend going inside the attraction as there are more stores with a larger variety, allowing you better bargaining leverage when a similar store is like 30 feet away and easily visible.

You can see this with the cultural ticket as well. This thing is big. Unfortunately they have put pillars right in front of it. On the other hand, that can't be a real surprise. The main entrance with the shops is also gorgeous! Don't forget to look up. Do read the story about how the Buddah got there on the back. Fun fact: this buddah was converted by jungle until it was discovered in 1881 when they were building the railroad from yangon to Bago. Imagine finding it!
