I cannot rave more about Paloma cruise. We did the 2 night 3 days option. It was perfect. I personally would not have felt 1 night would have been enough. The staff were awsome, especially justin. So helpful, so friendly. The cruise is very regimented, which normally as travellers we hate, but this time it was nice to have a structure. The activities were great and justin knew alot about the bay. The boat was beautiful, room was great just what i expected size wise, as your in a boat, but we never felt squashed in. I would recommend Paloma for everyone. it was amazing.

We did the 2 night 3 day cruise and would recommend that over the shorter cruise. The entire crew were excellent. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, the food was great and the activities were interesting. The Paloma seems to be one of the mid sized boats and it allowed us to visit the beautiful islands in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. With about 22 guests and a similar number of staff we felt very well cared for and really enjoyed our time onboard. Kayaking from the ship to a private beach with its own cave was very special, but only one of the many adventures available if you are willing to push the envelope.

Halong Bay is a World Heritage listed site, it is simply amazing. So too are the crew aboard the Paloma Cruise. From the initial booking, to the arranging of our collection at our hotel in Hanoi, to the trip north of 180km and return after a 2 night, 3 day cruise. Each part of this journey was so well managed. We arrived on board to a warm and friendly smile and genuine interest in our travels. The cabin staff all keen to use their English, were extremely helpful. The cabins were really well appointed, with a shower and toilet joined to the cabin, individual air conditioning units in each cabin, as well as all the necessity’s including a hair dryer. The boat is quiet as the captain skilfully manoeuvres it across the bay and around the islands. The trip was really well organised and the food. The food was delicious and so much of it. The excursions, by sea kayak or boat were well worth it. A must do if you get to Halong Bay - travel with Paloma Cruise.

We booked this cruise last minute through our hotel and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plentiful - breakfast had excellent choice and was a buffet. They were also good at catering for dietary requirements. They provided bottled water for every excursion, so we needn’t have brought any with us. The cabins were nice and sizeable enough. We had actually left our main rucksacks in our hotel in Hanoi - didn’t realise we could’ve brought them with us, everyone else had - but I guess this gave us more space in the cabin. The activities were all well organised and the whole cruise well led. Recommend doing the extra night as we were able to travel further into Bay Tu Long which was beautiful and peaceful. The kayaking on the second day was much more relaxing and enjoyable (first day kayaking is a bit of a workout!). Also one night would be a bit rushed - the activities flow one after another. Only slight niggle is not being told there would be no WiFi (as opposed to poor WiFi) but it was lovely to have a break from the outside world!
